Undeterred, he gives up on singing and attacks Boyfriend relentlessly, eventually cornering him on a tree. At the peak of his rage, he accidentally knocks out Mugman with a powerful blast.
He becomes increasingly more violent, attacking Boyfriend with all his power. Losing a second time causes Cuphead's mood to shift into anger. It doesn't take long, however, for Cuphead to realize that Boyfriend is a tougher opponent than usual, so he decides to double down with the help of his reliable peashooter, despite Mugman’s insistence otherwise. Believing he was the one messing with his lands, he challenges him to a rap battle, which Boyfriend gladly accepts.
Not long afterward, a portal takes Boyfriend into the Inkwell Isles, where he proceeds to fall headfirst into the ground.Įlsewhere, Cuphead is wandering around trying to find a "crazy portal opening", until he soon discovers Boyfriend. different from the other portals.īut where will these portals take our hero next…? The cutscene ends with Boyfriend staring in awe at the red light in the middle of it all, that seemed to be. Suddenly he feels a sensation inside of him, and a red portal begins to materialize from inside of him, causing him to quickly teleport from one world to the other until eventually landing back in the dark void.Įxcept this time, Boyfriend is met with hundreds, if not, thousands of red portals that filled the void like stars in the universe. As the explosion cools of, we're revealed to what seems like a glowing red window crack, that proceeded to explode yet again into a fiery red star.Īs the ground around Boyfriend begins to fissure and glow red like the star, our hero runs for his life, while the earthquake expands further in Boyfriend's direction. The figure then that starts to glow red until it explodes into a beam of red light. After looking around his new surroundings, he spots a blurry dark figure, surrounded in a veil of smoke. In some sort of dark void, a glowing red portal opens up, and out pops the one and only, Boyfriend.
